Final Stop: Colmar and Strasbourg

Let me just start by saying this has been a lovely trip, but I won’t be signing up for a two week road trip again!!  I say that as I am in the midst of plotting my plans for next summer, assuming we are still here in the Netherlands, and it does involve a fair amount of driving….yikes!  Why do I keep doing this to myself!

Colmar and Strasbourg are beautiful towns.  The Alsatian wine route is closely situated to Colmar, and Strasbourg is the home of European Parliament, so it has quite an international flair.  Their histories, having been passed back and forth between France and Germany, are represented in the cuisine, culture, and architecture.
