Antonio Citterio

I unknowingly fell in love with the designs of Antonio Citterio, when I bought the Mera coffee table when we lived in Eindhoven, the Netherlands around 2014. The table has a sleek chrome base, in circular form, mirroring the marble table top. It is clean lined and elegant.

When we moved back to Seattle from the Netherlands in 2016, the Mera table had no problem looking comfortable in its more modern surroundings.

Next, in the Zurich apartment, I researched sofas until I landed on what seems to me, the perfect design, Antonio Citterio for B&B Italia’s Atoll sofa. The lines are elegant while still inviting you to sit down and relax, and the deep seat makes for very comfortable evenings binging on Netflix. I love the metal base, and the two cushion seat with the loose pillows at the back, and rounded armrests.

I’ve recently placed an order for two Mera side tables, to nest on either side of my sofa here in Zurich. The amazing thing about these tables is their versatility. Not only do they make great side tables, I can also imagine them in front of a large sofa, even paired with perhaps the menu plinth, also available in Carrara marble.
