Patterned Floors

I didn’t realize it at the time, but I have had an obsession with patterned floors for quite awhile. Most of my photos from museums and European palaces involve images of the floors.

And next we have some modern day versions of patterned floors, both within wood tones such as chevron, herringbone or parquet floors, as well as cement tiles, and marble mosaics, in which the pattern is made for you by the manufacturer. Many people also make patterns out of penny round tiles.

Patterned flooring is an effective way to create interest in your home, and a fun way to express your personality. They’ve been doing it for centuries. Go for it!
