An Obsession with Candelabras

Clearly, I have an obsession with candle holders and candelabras. Each time I covet one, I tell myself I have enough. But the photos above are all from my own home. And when I see a candlestick holder or a candelabra I like, instinct takes over reasoning, and it arrives at my doorstep. Try as I might to convince myself otherwise, between the beautiful forms, materials, and apparent pyromaniacal tendencies, I give myself over to the candelabra and the flame. You cannot deny that they add so much interest to a home, are available in every imaginable material, and never disappoint. Candelabras are instant mood setters for your space.

Here are some other beautiful candelabras, all from Pinterest:

If you are looking for an object (ie candle holders and candelabras) that you will love on any surface, both illuminated in candlelight, and during the day, don’t question yourself. I give you permission to go for it! I’ve bought them everywhere from flea markets (I’m collecting brass candle stick holders but good ones that are straight are surprisingly hard to come by), antique candelabra, modern candelabra (I bought mine from Malmo Modern/ Sweden). CB2 often has amazing collaborations with great European designers, like their last collection featuring Frattini. I have some candle holders from CB2 that look like Giacometti (Christmas tree photo).

I also love a handmade candelabra, like the one I picked up in Murano, Italy. Keep in mind, I only have one and not the pair because of the price. But I absolutely love it, even minus its partner.

Candlelight is endlessly flattering, creates a mood, and any candle holder or candelabra will add something that was lacking to your space, trust me.
