Daybeds

I have long thought of daybeds as a very functional and practical piece of furniture in a sitting room. Our daybed is probably once of our most popular pieces of furniture in our home… everyone from the my teenage boys, to my dog chooses the daybed as their preferred place to lounge. You can sit facing three different direction: towards the tv, into the sitting area, or back towards the kitchen.

And it doubles as a guest bed, if necessary. There are so many attractive ones on the market right now, and I think it is a bit less expected than a second sofa or more armchairs, or the occasional chair. In my opinion, the most versatile daybeds do not have backs, but have one or two end pieces to provide back support if you are lounging. They are available in every imaginable material: wicker, leather, upholstered, wood, woven…. and every style, too. You will never regret having this universal piece of furniture in your home.
