My Favorite Everyday Jewelry

It’s funny… I don’t think of myself as a jewelry person, but I definitely have my signature pieces I like to wear, my everyday jewelry, and I feel a bit naked without them on. It isn’t so much the exact pieces, as it is the core pieces that I like to rotate or add and subtract from. I am always wearing earrings, usually some type of diamond piece, but never a solitaire as that seems predictable (and expensive) but also with less personality. I go for the diamond cluster, which allows it to sit closer to your lobe, protruding less. I like my earrings to be comfortable so I don’t have to take them off at the end of the day… Lately I have added a pair of gold hoops into the mix, which I am really enjoying.

Necklaces

Next, I am always wearing a necklace, most often a piece I can no longer find from Zoe Chicco, but it is a short chain that layers well (if the occasion calls for more) and offers a little bit of interest and sparkle but not competing with the other pieces I’m wearing. I really don’t want to look like I put on everything in my jewelry box. Mine is closest to the middle image, third necklace down. Something very light and subtle.

Bracelets

Next I wear a couple of cuff bracelets. Mine are from Missoma. I love the layered look of bracelets and depending on what I am doing that day, sometimes I add more to the mix. I wear these daily, when I’m working out, cooking, cleaning and showering. I’ve had them for a few years and they still look great, though if you look closely you can see the goldplate beginning to rub off. I have not treated them kindly though, and I’d purchase them again.

Rings

Finally, rings. I of course wear my wedding band and engagement ring, but for many years I did not wear the engagement ring in favor of stacking diamond bands. It is definitely more comfortable if you are living in cooler climates and wearing gloves. Also, the versatility of switching bands around is fun if you get bored easily. I love how I can change these bands around according to my mood.
